Get to Know the PTO

The Neil Cummins PTO is comprised of volunteer parents who work together to create a strong school community and support our staff and students. Through our families' financial and time contributions, we are able to provide classroom supplies, curriculum materials, the school garden, playground equipment, family social events, campus improvement, staff appreciation activities, and more.

Get Involved!

Volunteering is another great way to support the PTO! Whether you have capacity for a yearlong commitment or a few hours of virtual or in-person support there are opportunities to get involved.

We’re looking for parents to join the Readathon and Variety Show teams, two of our school’s most beloved events. From planning and organizing to supporting rehearsals and celebrations, there are roles big and small for everyone. Click to learn more and get involved.

Support the PTO. Suggested donation is $95 per student.  Contributions provide for teacher classroom budgets, classroom materials, teacher development, school events, and more.

Our Mission is:

  • To promote the welfare and education of students at Neil Cummins Elementary School.

  • To raise the standards of education at Neil Cummins Elementary School.

  • To foster a closer relationship between home and school, parent and teacher that benefits the child learner.

  • To support the curricular needs of children, teachers and families at Neil Cummins Elementary School.

Understanding Spark and the PTO

The Neil Cummins PTO and SPARK are both parent/community funded organizations that provide financial support to enhance the learning experience for teachers, parents, and students alike. California school financing doesn't provide adequate funding for the well-rounded education our children deserve. The Larkspur-Corte Madera School District depends on SPARK and the PTA/Os to fill the funding gap.
