This week our new Garden Educator, Natalie, welcomed students from Kindergarten, 1st, 3rd, and 5th grade into the garden! It felt wonderful to be back outside seeing, smelling, and experiencing nature in our beautiful outdoor classroom.
Students jumped right in: Kindergartners pretended to be tree branches swaying in September’s spectacular wind, while older students found quiet corners to explore and journal. All classes will have their turn to visit throughout September, and we can’t wait to share the garden magic with them too.

Natalie will be with us for the months of September, October and November. She'll then take a break for the winter before returning for March, April and May!
Each month she’ll introduce a new theme—starting with getting students comfortable in the garden and trying some journaling, then moving on to topics like parts of a plant, insects, soil, seeds, and even local fauna. Every grade will have lessons tailored just for their level.
A big thank you to the PTO for making garden learning possible for every student at our school! 🌼💚
