Thank you to everyone who came to the Hawks' Garden during the PTO Fall Festival.
It was wonderful to see our Neil Cummins community together enjoying the season. Students and their friends and families had the chance to make fall-themed crafts, taste apples, pears, and honey, snack on garden-inspired bites, get their hands in the soil planting seeds, and even meet some worms and set up a worm bin that will help keep our garden healthy.
We are so grateful to the parents who made this possible: Stephanie Galbraith, Arielle Bertman, Ali Marshall, Rachel Edwards, Ian Fontana Brown, Dana Swisher, Helen Jenkins, and Natalie Schluter for leading such engaging activities. And to those who made delicious Garden Bites: Camilla Behnke, Susan Turner, Carolyn Kiernat, Amy Conger and Sophie Walsh.
An especially BIG thank-you to Natalie Fontana Brown, our Garden Event Coordinator, who led all of the volunteers and stations. As a new parent to Neil Cummins, we're grateful for her energy, creativity, and warmth that she brought to the day, and we feel so lucky to welcome her to our school community!
The Fall Festival was a sweet reminder of how our garden connects students, families, and nature in fun and meaningful ways.
